Desktop is free, with a soft reminder, until you buy the commercial licence. The mobile and tablet apps are paid up-front in the App Store and Play Store, owning the app once unlocks every feature, no IAP, no subscription.
Hobby, learning, home prints, school, anything that doesn't get someone else paid. Windows, macOS, Linux.
iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets. Paid up-front in the App Store and Play Store, no IAP, no subscription, no nag dialog.
If you sell prints, freelance, or use the desktop build for any paid work. Mobile / tablet already includes commercial rights.
Coffee tips on top of any tier are welcome at buymeacoffee.com/marjers.
If you're deploying BlockBuilder Studio in an office, a school lab, or a manufacturing floor, the desktop build detects Windows Pro, Enterprise, Education, or a domain / Azure AD joined machine and prompts for a Business licence instead of the personal one. WinRAR-style, no surveillance, the check happens locally. Volume discount kicks in at 5 seats.
If something here isn't clear, email geral@marjers.com, replies usually within 48 hours.
Anything where money changes hands because of the model. Selling prints on Etsy / MakerWorld. Freelance gigs where you ship STLs to a paying client. Engineering work where the STL ends up in a billable deliverable. Classroom is fine as long as no fees are charged for the model itself.
If you're not sure, ask. I'd rather you ship than wonder.
Same key format as the individual €12 licence, but issued in a batch with a seat count baked in. One key works on every seat you bought, you don't get N separate keys to distribute. Renewal at v2.0 follows the same volume tiers.
Volume tiers, all one-time, lifetime, v1.x updates included: 5 seats €49, 25 seats €199, 50 seats €379, 100+ seats by quote (typically €4 to €5 per seat). EU VAT-ID reverse-charge supported; single invoice; key delivered same business day.
From v0.7 onward, yes. The launcher reads the Windows edition (Pro, Enterprise, Education, Server) and whether the machine is domain-joined or Azure AD joined. If any of those flags are true, the soft reminder dialog mentions the Business licence instead of the Individual one. The detection happens locally, nothing is sent to a server, the result is not logged.
v0.6 (current beta) shows the same reminder to everyone. If you're using the beta in a business setting today and want to pre-buy at volume, just say so in your email and you'll get a Business key the day issuance flips on.
macOS and Linux do not have an equivalent native flag, so on those platforms the reminder defaults to the Individual licence and trusts you to upgrade if commercial / business use applies.
Yes. No time limit, no expiration, no upgrade trap, no nag screen you can't dismiss. The soft reminder dialog shows every 25 launches and goes away with a click. Commercial licence silences it; everyone else just clicks dismiss.
Yes, every v0.x update is included. Once v1.0 ships, the v1.x line is also included. v2.0 onward is a new licence at a then-current price, but the licence you bought today never expires and your existing app keeps working.
In practice this means: if you buy now at v0.6 you'll get every release through to roughly mid-2027 (v1.x line) for the €12 you paid today.
Per-person. Your €12 desktop licence works on every machine YOU personally use, desktop, laptop, work PC, home PC. If a colleague uses BlockBuilder commercially, they need their own.
For agencies / teams: just buy one licence per person who'll use it. No seat math, no admin portal, no audit.
Two reasons. First, Apple and Google guidelines and store mechanics are built for paid apps, not freemium-with-server-keys, so paid up-front is the path with the least friction (no licence dialog, no key paste, no offline activation pain). Second, the mobile build is a smaller surface that gets used differently: short bursts on the train, on the couch, on site at the printer. Treating it as a single low-cost purchase keeps the model clean.
Practically: €4.99 once unlocks the app on every iPhone, iPad, and Android device on your Apple ID / Google account. No reminders, no upsells.
Apple and Google do not allow cross-platform discount linking, the mobile purchase is its own transaction in its own store. If you bought the desktop commercial licence and the mobile / tablet purchase feels like double-paying, email and a token discount on the next desktop version's commercial licence is on the table.
14 days, no questions, full refund. Email geral@marjers.com with the order ID and it's done same day. EU consumer law applies; the right is irrespective of country.
You pay once. Software you bought stays software you own. No recurring billing, no "we lowered prices so renew", no "billing failed, app disabled". The web app and the desktop binary both work offline forever, regardless of whether I'm still around to maintain them.
After payment you get a key like BBS2.aBc123... by email. Paste it into Settings → Licence inside the app. It's a signed ECDSA P-256 token verified offline by the app, no phone-home, no internet check at startup. Lose it? Email and I'll resend.
Yes. The checkout (Lemon Squeezy) issues a tax-compliant invoice automatically and supports EU VAT-ID exempt purchases for businesses. Forward the receipt to your accountant; it has everything they need.
Until v0.6.0 launches publicly the desktop licence dialog is gated server-side (worker secret ISSUANCE_ENABLED=false), and the mobile / tablet apps are still in TestFlight / Play internal testing. Pre-order emails sit in a queue; when payments and store releases turn on, every pre-order gets a heads-up the same hour.
You can use the free desktop build today and decide later. Nothing locks you out of the personal-use path.
The desktop binary you downloaded keeps working forever, no online activation required. The web PWA stops getting updates but keeps running from your browser's cache if you'd previously installed it. The code is closed-source today but in the event the project is abandoned for >12 months, the plan is to publish the source under a permissive licence.
Download the free build today. If you find yourself reaching for it in paid work, come back and buy the licence then.
